How do agents write business with KLIA?
Agents submit business primarily with ACORD applications and supplemental forms.
KLIA works with the outside carriers to quote & bind the risk.
Quote requests can be transmitted via phone, fax or email.
Who has access to KLIA?
Any agent who is appointed with Farmers, Foremost, Bristol West or Zurich Small Business has access to KLIA.

If the risk is within our appetite, agents can expect to have a firm and accurate quote in their hands within 3-5 days after we receive a complete submission.
KLIA will respond to all agent inquiries on the same day if they are received by noon Eastern time or the next business day if they are received after that.
KLIA’s account representatives are not only licensed and appointed, but they are also front-line underwriters who can accurately assess risk, leading to faster turnaround times.
How will claims be filed?
The agent has the option of reporting the claim to KLIA.
The agent can also report the claim directly to the carrier by calling their claims office.
What is the commission rate for business written through KLIA?
Commissions will vary depending on the market and type of product.
All quotes will provide commission structure for each line of business proposed.
Do agents need to be appointed with KLIA?
No appointment is needed with KLIA, but agents must be appointed with Farmers, Foremost, Bristol West or Zurich.
Agents need to maintain their own E&O coverage.

All policies must be paid in full at the time of issue.
